RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!
I think my new camera may be smarter than I am. But after a couple of hours of futzing, I'm starting to figure it out. It's way cool and stuff and I love it but it is much more complicated than the old cheap-ass digital that I had.
And that's today's news. *shrugs* Some days are like that. And some days there's pie.

Don't you love it when the cat transmutes from fluffy pile of fur to beast with Fangs of Doom?

You need to submit your lolcat to the Cheezburger blog.
What kind of camera did you get? I have yet to set aside some time to figure out my new Rebel. I'm a bit afraid to take it outside, lest I trip and smash it to smithereens.

Fangs of Doom aka Trout was really just yawning. But without context, it makes him extra fierce, which he isn't in real life. He's the cat that occasionally gets used as a pillow by the Boy. Said pillow always looks rather put out -- but never actually does anything about it. The other cat, on the other hand, would scratch your eyes clean out if you even considered such a thing.
The new camera is a Canon Powershot SD1000. I love it -- but am with you on the afraid to take it out lest I drop it thing. I'm also hesitant to breathe on it. Or, really, look at it too hard. Also like you, I wish I had a couple of weeks to do nothing but fuss with it. Not going to happen this, well, year, but hopefully I can get 70 percent up to speed before Christmas.
Hey -- are you going to be in Boston the week of May 21?

Several people recco'd the Powershot when I mentioned that I wanted a 'real' camera.
I should be in town for most of May, since school is still in session until late June. Are you visiting ? :)

The Powershot is pretty neat, I have to say, and does feel like a "real" camera. I think the Rebel is pretty neat, too.
We're going to be taking a family trip to Cape Cod that week. I'm trying to work in a visit to Boston, since it seems to be on the way. I'm half-tempted to set up a reading so that I can also deduct a trip to Boston, but I'm not sure anyone would come and/or whether or not I want to be bothered with thinking on vacation.
But, yes, coming through.
