Already behind? How can that be? And what kind of yarn is that?

The yarn is Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift. The sweater is Mary Tudor. The deadline is self-imposed because I'm writing a book about the process (it's an extended metaphor, I hope) and the manuscript is due Feb. 2009.
If you wanna know where to get your own box of yarn -- holler. I'd love to have company on my Mary Tudor march...

I suspect that the knitting will go faster than you expect--stranded knitting does, for some mysterious reason. Just figure out how you're going to wrangle the color changes and manage the charts and you should be (I am touching wood as I type this lest I jinx) golden.

Ah, you don't have to actually knit the sweater, just follow the lead of other memoir writers these days and pretend that you did.
