love.

One of my bestest friends from college is in the Peace Corps in San Luis Potosi, the Mexican state that also looks like a Scottie Dog. These paper mache hearts are a local* craft and she can't resist them. And I was lucky enough to find one in my mailbox a few weeks back. I, no pun intended, love it.

Other than that, I have no grand pronouncements for this day. My Thursday started with the Boy sticking his head into the shower and hollering "Happy Valentine's Day" as I was rinsing my hair, which was both delightful and terrifying, which is a lot like living with the Boy in general.

My beloved bought me a donut and it was the perfect gift, given my weakness for both donuts and brownie batter. I might just have to buy him a bag of his favorite snack food, whose very name I will not utter because it makes me want to heave. 

We do these things out of love, of course. May your day be full of it as well.

* I can't remember if it is local to that region or some larger area. But it's something I never saw in Texas, which makes me think it's more of a regional thing. As usual, I could be wrong.
