shameless self promotion, part 232 in a series

I keep thinking that I'll catch up real soon now. I also keep thinking that I might be a touch delusional. These two may or may not be related. Discuss.

In lieu of real information, some shameless self-promoting:

A review of The Book by the Chicago Sun-Times.

A review by me of Tim Eldred's Grease Monkey.

And a recommendation -- if you enjoy good writing and good food, pick up Gourmet magazine's supplimental booklet of essays that comes shrink wrapped with the August issue. My fave is Ann Patchett's but could read any of the stories within again. And again.

I wonder how I've never heard of Bookslut until now? What a great site!

There are quite a few questions that I can't answer. This is just another one.

But, yes, great site and lots of fun.

Oh, I read that review, and put your book on my "to-read" list. I have not, and will not, experience childbirth due to a rather bad uterus, now removed. However, there was a young woman who jumped from her hotel room window, 12 stories, to her death. We drove by the scene right after it happened, and I have been haunted by it ever since. It was subsequently reported that she suffered from post-partum depression.

I look forward to your book, and to revisiting your blog!

Christine - Welcome. Sorry about the uterus but bad things must be removed. Except our cat Mooch, who is like an inoperable tumor.
