not a dog lover but love this dog

Generally, I don't go for pet-themed art. Nor am I a big lover of the canine. Don't get me wrong -- there are certain dogs that I love, just not dogs in general. FWIW -- I feel the same way about children.

Anyway.

While in P-town, I walked into the Kennedy Studios and fell plum in love with Ambrose, who is the first dog pictured on this page of the artist Georg Williams' website. It's not so much that I love sheepdogs. It's just that the expression on this dog's face reminds me so much of the Boy that I just can't stand it. I don't even know where I'd hang such a thing -- the art, that is, not the Boy. Still. It calls.

Unrelated but worth mentioning -- SUNY-Oneonta (and the department in which I teach) gets some love. Sweet.

Also unrelated but worth mentioning -- Josh Wolk and I stopped watching Real World at the same time and for the same reasons. Just another reason why I love him.

Has anyone at the DS or in local gov't seen that article on Brianne Galli? All the comments about why Oneonta's downtown quaintness helped her choose SUCO over other colleges (in spite of Southside)? Couldn't hurt for the town council folks to hear how downtown's development actually influences what kind of college students are drawn to the local schools.

On an unrelated personal note, we're grounded here in Boston a couple of extra days while the car has two bent axels fixed. Ouch.
