actual knitting content + so much lazy
up with figs, up in the air

many things make a post

* I may resemble this. However I do not have a jaunty top hat.

* On left-handed DNA and illustrations. In the author's defense, most of the time, we don't get to see the illos until it's far too late to change too much.

* Lean in.

* Your vagina is awesome.

* I kinda wish I didn't know about these.

* Have I mentioned how much I hate the phone?

* What writers snack on.

* My Cat is a Dick.

* Imperialist Thomas.

* Turning 40.

* This is your brain on motherhood. Also, iron deficiency has nothing to do with your uterus.

* This episode of No Reservations made me miss my grandmother so, so much I can't even describe it. Once it cools off, I"m making gravy, even though I am but an impostor.

Re: Imperialist Thomas. A friend who is a former labor organizer explained to me that Thomas is also Anti-Worker. Think about how many episodes document the exploitation of organized labor (i.e., the Steamies, aka Thomas and Friends), which is forced constantly to give concessions to management (i.e., Sir Topham Hatt) under threat of the forces of technologization as embodied by the Diesels. I do not recall any episodes that depict the use of force, but the exercise of power a la Gramsci or Foucault has even more insidious effect over the Steamies: They come to inhabit the values of management and urge each other into self-regulation - we just need to increase productivity by working unpaid overtime and asserting our rights ("complaining") less.

It's sauce, unless you are from New York city.

Posthaste: get yourself a jaunty hat to wear only when you knit. Kinda of like the purple hat ladies, but ...jaunty. It could trend.
