I've run their half marathon -- and plan to do so again this year*. I'm always up for a trip to Corning and when I figured out that neither my husband or my Dad had been, we planned a date and jumped in the car.

Because who doesn't love a box of glass eyes?

If you leave the museum without making your own glass souvenir, you've really only had half of the experience.* In honor of the Blaschka's aquatic critter collection, the studio offered a Make Your Own Sea Slug option, which is clearly the only way to go.

We now have a small school of them swimming by the TV, made by us on a fun-filled day. Sometimes, the stars just align.

* I'm not a board member, I promise. Just a big fan.
